Hurricane Ridge

Today we drove north from Kitsap onto the Olympic Peninsula, past Port Townsend to Port Angeles on the Strait of Juan De Fuca and into Olympic National Park. We drove through the clouds up to the Hurricane Ridge of 6454 ft. Mt. Angeles where we were treated to spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains. We bought sandwiches and enjoyed a picnic lunch with the deer, chipmunks and birds. There were still patches of snow at this elevation. After lunch we drove down and continued west along the peninsula into a lush northwestern rain forest along the shores of beautiful Lake Crescent, magnificent!
